Farewell Oman, hello Dubai

As many of you already know from Instagram, I left Muscat two days ago in order to start a new exciting adventure in Dubaï. We weren't planning to leave our beloved Oman but sometimes life gives you an unexpected opportunity you just can't refuse. Nevertheless, Oman is in my heart forever. Nothing can be compared to this amazing country, really. We've had a very hectic and exhausting move but thanks to our amazing friends everything went well. I also received lots of kind messages on Instagram and I want to thank you guys again, you are amazing!

So it is my second day in Dubaï and I feel it is another world. Everything is huge, tall, big, crowded, hectic, new... Everything! After the overcrowded Hong Kong, I got used to live in quiet yet beautiful places such as Algiers and Muscat thus I need some adjustments so as to take advantage of the daily life in Dubaï. By the way, if you guys have any advice/must see spots to share, feel free to comment!

I spent hours (long. long. hours) at Dubaï Mall (the world's biggest mall) to run errands and I can tell you I don't like this place that much. Don't get me wrong: it is amazing to have so many shops but spending so many time shopping is not just my thing. I felt overwhelmed by the crowd, the walking distance, etc. and found a true relief in mosques and prayers rooms (that you can find everywhere inside the mall). In my Omani abaya :-)
